Inspired by the Đông Hồ painting village
Five hundred years of Tết paintings by the Đuống River
Đông Hồ village (Bắc Ninh, Vietnam) prints pictures with hand-carved woodblocks on dó paper brushed with crushed scallop shell, using colours taken from plants, earth and stone. People once hung these paintings at Tết to wish for plenty, family togetherness and success. Mộc Măm wraps those wishes into bags of dried fruit.

On 9 December 2025, UNESCO inscribed the craft of Đông Hồ folk woodblock printing on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding. The pictures on Mộc Măm packs are new drawings inspired by the spirit of Đông Hồ paintings; they do not copy original woodblocks and are not hand-printed.
